This long stretch of road in southeast Sosa is surrounded by a bevy of affordable seafood eateries. If you’re in the mood for sushi or kaisendon (seafood rice bowl) filled with fresh, local fish, then this aptly named “Seafood Highway” is the place to be!

This market offers more than 120 different kinds of seasonal produce and other processed goods, as well as a display area and shop for garden trees, plants, and flowers. It’s a popular spot for both locals and out-of-state visitors alike.

Here you’ll find fresh produce, local delicacies and other Sosa-related foods (packed bento lunchboxes and sushi rolls made with rice from the region, for example), desserts for the kids, and even potted plants — Sosa is the City of Garden Trees, after all! Make sure to catch the special Yokaichi bargain sales; they take place on the 8th, 18th, and 28th of the month.
